Anthrax 40th Anniversary Livestream Details Revealed
New York-based American heavy metal band Anthrax is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. To celebrate their 40 years of work in the industry, they will do a special worldwide live stream. They’ve revealed details on that anniversary event.
Formed on July 18, 1980, the famous thrash/metal band Anthrax is still on the road. They haven’t done it before for their other anniversaries but for the 40th one, they’ve decided to crown it with a special live stream. This live stream is going to be worldwide and will be presented by Danny Wimmer Presents. It will be held in Los Angeles, California but will be broadcasted to the whole world.
Anthrax 40th Anniversary Livestream will start at 7 PM ET / 4 PM PT on July 16 for North American fans. European fans, on the other hand, will be able to watch the show on July 17 BST. They’ve shared the official announcement from social media accounts and the official website. Currently, there isn’t any confirmation on their setlist for that special event but fans can expect some special songs from Anthrax’s most popular songs in their 40 years of career.

I am a 57-year-old metal-head kid from Queens – Scott Ian
Scott Ian, guitarist of Anthrax commented on their 40th anniversary by saying this:
“I was a 17-year-old metal-head kid from Queens when I started this band. I am a 57-year-old metal-head kid from Queens about to celebrate the 40th anniversary of this band. That means for 40 years, I’ve gotten to do exactly what I’ve wanted to do — and getting to do what I love and being a part of something so much bigger than myself has made the time, the unbelievable weight of 40 seems so light.”
Throughout their career, Anthrax released 11 studio albums, 4 EPs, and 26 Singles. Their last studio album For All Kings released in 2016 and in 2018 they’ve released a live album called Kings Among Scotland. They’ve seen some band members change in the way but the co-founder Scott Ian is still in the band since the year 1981 when they’ve found the band.
