Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus Shares Health Update
A few days ago, we’ve shared some sad news about Blink-182 bassist and co-lead vocalist Mark Hoppus. You can check that article using that link but here’s a brief explanation about it. Mark Hoppus shared a photo of himself on a medical chair, saying “One cancer treatment, please”. That become viral really quickly between Blink-182 and Mark Hoppus fans and everyone started worrying about Hoppus’ health condition. He then explained his medical situation by confirming he has cancer for a while and getting treatment. It was a bit relieving for fans but for sure they are still worried about Hoppus’ current condition.
Mark Hoppus shared his recent condition to let his fans know. He did that during a game of Blinko -it’s a Mark Hoppus and Blink-182 version of Bingo-. He was on a Twitch stream during the game and he was also answering questions from fans. As we can all guess, most of the questions were about Hoppus’ medical condition. He answered one of those questions about how he’s been feeling recently as:
Hoppus’ Current Medical Condition
“How am I feeling today? I feel much better than yesterday, Yesterday was hellish for me and I woke up today feeling better — I went for a walk, and I had a decent breakfast, and I haven’t felt like I was going to throw up today, so we’ll take it as a win.”
That wasn’t the only question Hoppus answered during the stream. At a separate point, he got more and more questions about his condition. He shared some of his daily activities while battling cancer. Here are his words on that topic:
On good days, I go do stuff. Today was the first time I’d left my house in like, five days, pretty much. But this round of chemo, I wasn’t totally stuck on the couch, miserable. I’ve actually watched movies and walked around and cleaned the house and hung out with my dogs. … I didn’t just feel like a poisoned electrified zombie leaning up against an electric fence like I did the rest, the past couple of rounds.”
Because his medical condition is changing every day and he still needs to watch out for what to do and what not to do, he’s not able to watch Dodgers matches in the stadium -the team he is a huge fan of-. His comments on that topic were:
“I can’t go anywhere. I wanted to go to the Dodgers last night — I can’t. I want to go hang out with friends and go to a restaurant — I can’t.”
We hope Mark Hoppus gets well very soon and gets to do whatever he wants without worrying about his health condition. We wish him a quick recovery.
