Bryan Cranston and James Corden Impersonate ‘Sound of Silence’ Performance
Breaking Bad lead actor Bryan Cranston and late-night host James Corden impersonate one of the famous songs. They sing together for Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel‘s famous ‘The Sound of Silence’ song.
If we go back in time, Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel’s free concert in New York’s Central Park on September 19, 1981, gathered around 500,000 people in Manhattan. Also, the concert was later released as a live album, “The Concert in Central Park,” and was one of the most iconic and watched concerts of the decade. However, when producers of the Late Late Show promised to share “newly uncovered long-lost concert footage” from the gig on January 19.
The fans were curious about how this footage could have remained unseen for over 40 years. In reality, the footage was a spoof, featuring the show’s host James Corden and guest Bryan Cranston, best known for Breaking Bad, as Simon and Garfunkel respectively, and the YouTube post of the clip references this as “an iconic if slightly odd, performance.”
On “The Late Late Show,” the “Your Honor” performer and talk show presenter performed a decent rendition of “The Sound of Silence.” But Bryan Cranston’s Art Garfunkel overacted a little, and the craziness escalated. James Corden’s Paul Simon’s turtleneck began to rise higher and higher, while Simon Garfunkel’s hair morphed into the Chia pet from hell.
