David Bowie Song Reissue Version Comes for 50th Year Anniversary

One of the leading figures in the music industry, David Bowie is being missed for a while after his passing. But gladly, we all may find consolation even for a little, as his beloved song ‘Hunky Dory‘ gets a reissue for its 50th year anniversary.
Released right 50 years ago from today on 17 December 1971, ‘Hunky Dory’ is the fourth studio album of David Bowie, produced by himself with Ken Scott. And after all those times, the legendary musician’s classic 1971 record’s reissued version has will be released along with featuring the other legend singles of David Bowie, ‘Life On Mars?’, ‘Oh! You Pretty Things’, and ‘Changes.’
And luckily, a preview of the reissue has already been shared, giving all who has been missing the legendary musician David Bowie a quiet excitement, since we no longer have a chance to see new efforts of his, sadly. The physical edition of the upcoming reissue is set to arrive before a day of the iconic musician’s birthday, on January 7, 2022, via Parlophone. But before all, a new take on the latter has also been shared along with a special vinyl picture disc reissue of ‘Hunky Dory,’ supposedly to get the fans even more excited, and happy, of course.
On the other side, the producer Ken Scott made a statement for David Bowie’s 50th anniversary:
“The new version of ‘Changes’ is a fresh look at David’s classic,” started explaining Ken Scott. “When listening to the original multi-track I discovered a few things that I had eliminated from the original mix and also a completely different sax solo at the end. It was those things that led me to try a new mix, trying for a slightly harder, more contemporary edge to it.”
The preview, Changes (2021 Alternative Mix), also comes with an accompanying new lyric video featuring unseen photos from the ‘Hunky Dory’ sessions, as well. And the upcoming reissue’s picture disc vinyl also will include a poster featuring the annotated back cover art of the album, while also having the 2015 vinyl remaster of ‘Hunky Dory.’
In addition, pre-orders are also available for you to purchase at the official shop of David Bowie.
Furthermore, The 75th birthday of David Bowie will also be celebrated with a special live-streamed event next month, featuring the members of the legendary icon’s band with a host of famous fans Ricky Gervais, Duran Duran‘s Simon Le Bon, and Gary Oldman. The long-served keyboardist of David Bowie, Mike Garson talked about the upcoming celebration recently and said:
“It’s an honor to be able to continue to share David Bowie’s music with the world. I’m excited for everyone to be able to experience this very special show we’ve got in store in celebration of what would have been David’s 75th birthday with the bandmates he recorded and performed with, plus a great group of guest artists who he was such an influence to.”
