Kirk Hammett Failed Intro Again at Metallica’s Boston Calling Concert

Kirk Hammett also known as Metallica‘s guitarist failed again. Kirk Hammett messed up the intro of the “Nothing Else Matters” song during Metallica‘s performance at The Boston Calling festival in Massachusetts, USA.
We know Kirk Hammett sometimes appeared with guitar and note mistakes. He returned on May 29th, 2022 with the newest fail moments again. Metallica‘s guitarist Kirk Hammett jammed during the Boston Calling Event:
“More than a Feeling”. Just as he was getting ready to play Metallica’s famous song “Nothing Else Matters”, his mistake was in the opening notes. After teasing a little of “More than A Feeling” the Boston Calling’s song, Kirk Hammett screwed up the opening chords to Metallica’s famous classic, before falling to the ground. Then he quickly stood up and addressed the crowd, “Sorry, guys. You’re so kickass. I was caught up in how sexy you are” and then recommenced the track as the last track of Metallica’s performance during the three-day festival.
“Nothing Else Matters” is among the songs that have received lots of positive attention from the band’s self-titled album. The album is also called “The Black Album” and it was reissued in September in a remastered, deluxe box set on its own label Blackened Recordings. In addition to that, last summer the music video for “Nothing Else Matters” surpassed one billion views on YouTube. It was the first Metallica song to reach that milestone on YouTube.
When it was time to play Black Album’s classic Nothing Else Matters which was the final song on the list Kirk Hammett did not do his best with the introduction: “Sorry, guys. You’re so kickass. I got distracted by how kickass you are.”
In the latest fan-shot footage, we can see him getting over the mistake and then crashing to the floor, to the delight of the crowd before getting himself clean and then circling around in a circle for another attempt.
Before that, James Hetfield get emotional on the stage and said:
“I’ve gotta tell you I wasn’t feeling very good before I came out here. feeling a little bit insecure, like I’m an old guy, can’t play anymore – all this bullshit that I tell myself in my head. So I talked to these guys, and they helped me – as simple as that. They gave me a hug and said, ‘Hey, if you’re struggling on stage, we’ve got your back.’ And I tell you, it means the world to me.”
After that failure, Metallica reprised the song, which was the second to last of their 16-song set at the Boston Calling Festival. Watch the videos below!

Nothing Else Matters lyrics:
So close, no matter how far
Couldn’t be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
And nothing else matters
Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words, I don’t just say
And nothing else matters
Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
But I know
So close, no matter how far
It couldn’t be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
And nothing else matters
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
But I know
I never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words, I don’t just say
And nothing else matters
Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view
And nothing else matters
Never cared for what they say
Never cared for games they play
Never cared for what they do
Never cared for what they know
And I know, yeah, yeah
So close, no matter how far
Couldn’t be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
No, nothing else matters
