Who is the All Within My Hands Foundation (AWMH)?
“Feeding America is AWMH’s primary partner for combating hunger. While we defer to their numbers most times, we remind you that this is an average and a dollar can be stretched further in different parts of the country. For our donations $1.00 = 3 meals. So that translates to 30,000 meals per show.
AWMH supports workforce education through the Metallica Scholars initiative, which we established in 2019 with 10 schools and expanded in 2020 to 15 schools. For education and the needs of the Metallica Scholars grant recipients, the dollar-to-impact ratio is less straightforward. Schools are selected through a competitive application process and are given $100,000 each to use in the manner in which they find most beneficial for their programs. That being said, through our partners at the American Association of Community College, we make sure funds are being used appropriately in line with our initiative.
Our intended result is that our students receive instruction enabling them to get higher-paying jobs and establish stable careers. In most cases, this isn’t accomplished by attending school for two years to receive an associate’s degree. However, the result of a three- or six-month certificate program.
Also, AWMH is not the source of international donations, Metallica continues to spread its philanthropic efforts by donating a portion of ticket sales in every city visited a local charity (predominantly food banks) and by encouraging fans to join both Metallica and AWMH in giving back around the world. Finally, 100% of the money you give to AWMH goes to the organizations we support. Not a penny from your donation is used to pay for Foundation expenses. The Foundation’s expenses are paid for by the band and the Board of Directors.”
In 2022 first 6 months, All Within My Hands donated more than $750,000 in donations to local food banks throughout the globe. It’s an activity the group and AWMH continue to carry out on their North American “WorldWired” tour by donating to local food banks across every city in USA.
