Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters Will Appear in Jungle Cruise

Nothing Else Matters

We’ve seen plenty of special Metallica releases in the past couple of months. Because of the Black Album celebrations, Metal legends shared several versions of their most popular songs. And today, they’ve announced one more special release. This time with a partnership with Disney. Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters will appear in Disney’s Jungle Cruise movie, with a special version that’s never been heard before.

They’ve tweeted and said “Planning to watch Jungle Cruise in theaters or on Disney+ Premier Access tomorrow? Keep an ear out for a totally new and different version of “Nothing Else Matters,” appearing twice in the film! Check out this sneak peek. #JungleCruise”. This being said, we are going to hear the new version of Nothing Else Matters not once but twice.

About this collaboration

They’ve also said these words about Disney’s Junge Cruise movie and the special version of their -probably- most popular song.

“Should you head out to the theater or fire up Disney+ Premier Access at home this Friday, you might recognize a certain song that appears twice in the movie Jungle Cruise – a never-heard-before, totally new and different version of ‘Nothing Else Matters!'”

“It was an honor to work with renowned, legendary composter James Newton Howard as we reimagined the song by performing his arrangement and creating a rendition we like to think is fit for an excursion through the Amazon,”

“The film stars Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt who take the fan favorite ride and transform it to a theatrical adventure. Not only are we big fans of Disney, but we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work with Howard, an eight-time Oscar nominee who has been recognized for films such as The FugitiveMichael Clayton and The Village. Our collaboration with Howard will be featured on the film’s soundtrack, available to stream or download on your favorite music platforms tomorrow.”

Last September we’ve heard some words about this special version from Metallica’s Lars Ulrich. Back then he confirmed that the band was working with James Newton Howard to create an orchestral version of their Nothing Else Matters for Disney’s Jungle Cruise movie. According to Ulrich, Disney production president Sean Bailey is a lifelong rock fan. Ulrich also said that he and his wife are huge Disney fans so they’ve had great relationships with Disney. So this probably helped a lot for this work.

At the moment this article is written, there is less than a day to Jungle Cruise. Don’t forget to share your comments with us after hearing the special version of Nothing Else Matters.
