The strong and old friendship of Steve Rosen and Edward Van Halen gave Rosen the chance of witnessing Eddie’s amazing life journey, which is exactly what the author has written in his book along with many memories they shared both good and bad.
Steve Rosen had begun writing his book, ‘Tonechaser – Understanding Edward: My 26-Year Journey With Edward Van Halen‘ on August 24, before he lost his best friend as he explained:
“I was supposed to write Edward’s authorized biography back in the mid-’80s but that book never happened. At that point, I put to rest the idea of ever writing a book about my friendship with him. Then in 2020, I thought about my relationship with him and I was just moved to begin writing. I didn’t know where I was going or where it would take me but I wrote every day for over a year and it was the hardest stuff I’d ever written. I finally finished the book around October 2021 and felt a great release. I was really proud of what I’d accomplished and I wanted fans to read and share in what I’d experienced in my friendship with Edward.”
Steve Rosen’s book about Eddie Van Halen, Tonechaser – Understanding Edward: My 26-Year Journey With Edward Van Halen, is expected to be released sometime in April or May.
The regarded musician Eddie Van Halen has passed away a year ago on October 6, 2020, leaving a huge number of mourning people behind him. Also the first wife of Eddie, Valerie Bertinelli has just released her new book. “Enough Already: Learning To Love The Way I Am Today,” which was released on January 18, also gives a big place for Eddie Van Halen, as his ex-wife Bertinelli tells some of their moments along with some emotional confessions about Eddie’s last moments and more.
While promoting her book, Valerie Bertinelli also explained she started writing her book right after Eddie’s passing to ease her pain, adding:
“I can’t explain the feelings Ed and I had for each other. Who really knows had he not died. I doubt it. I loved him more than I know how to explain and there’s nothing sexual about it. It was more than that. And Ed and I understood that … There is no greater love than what we had between the two of us.”
