Ozzy Osbourne’s new photos revealed during his Parkinson’s battle
Ozzy Osbourne‘s new photos were revealed during his Parkinson’s battle. Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne (Prince of Darkness) took a walk without his cane in LA, California a few days ago.
The Prince of Darkness himself, Ozzy Osbourne, was spotted taking a walk without his cane in Los Angeles last Thursday. On this walk, also Osbourne accompanied by a companion who picked flowers during their stroll, holding them out for the heavy metal icon to take a breath.
Ozzy Osbourne who is also the legendary frontman of Black Sabbath has been bravely battling Parkinson’s disease since being diagnosed in 2003. Despite facing health challenges, Ozzy has continued to show resilience and determination. In January 2020, he publicly revealed his health struggles, including experiencing good and bad days with Parkinson’s. He underwent a “life-altering” surgery in June 2022 to address injuries from a past accident and has been spotted using a cane on multiple occasions. Ozzy has not retired from touring. Throughout his journey, Ozzy has credited his wife Sharon for her unwavering support.
Wearing his signature all-black outfit from head to toe, including matching sneakers and socks, the 74-year-old frontman of Black Sabbath has been battling Parkinson’s disease since his diagnosis in 2003. However, it was not until January 2020, one year after a serious fall in a “pitch-black” bathroom, that he publicly shared his health struggles.
During an interview with his wife Sharon Osbourne on “Good Morning America” at the time, the Grammy winner’s wife reassured fans that Parkinson’s is not a death sentence, but acknowledged that Ozzy has his good and bad days.
Last year, Ozzy gave an update on his condition to The Observer, describing the sensation of Parkinson’s as “walking around in lead boots.” He explained, “You think you’re lifting your feet, but your foot doesn’t move.”
Despite the challenges, Ozzy credited his wife Sharon, who is 70 years old, with helping him navigate the diagnosis, stating that he would be lost without her support. “We have a little row now and then, but otherwise we just get on with it,” he said.
In June 2022, Ozzy underwent a “life-altering” surgery to remove and realign pins in his neck and back from a quad biking accident in 2003 that was exacerbated by his fall in 2019. Since then, he has been spotted using a cane on multiple occasions.
Although Ozzy performed at an NFL halftime show in September 2022, he has recently announced his retirement from touring and has canceled his upcoming shows. In an emotional Twitter reveal in February, he expressed his disbelief that his touring days would end this way, stating that he is “not physically capable” of traveling for performances.
“My team is currently coming up with ideas for where I will be able to perform without having to travel from city to city and country to country,” he added at the time. While Ozzy primarily shares throwback photos on Instagram, his son Jack Osbourne recently shared a heartwarming glimpse of their Easter celebration earlier this month.
As fans and the rock community continue to support Ozzy in his battle against Parkinson’s, the “Prince of Darkness” continues to show resilience and determination, taking a moment to appreciate the simple pleasures in life, like stopping to smell the flowers.
