PlayStation Will Release Twisted Metal TV Series in 2023

PlayStation will release the Twisted Metal TV series in 2023 on Peacock. Asad Qizilbash, the studio leader of PlayStation Productions, has published a teaser for the Twisted Metal TV series.
We know that the series was shot on the Peacock platform last year. However, we have received some useful information regarding this next TV series. On January 30, 2023, Asad Qizilbash posted a tweet on his personal Twitter that got people talking. The tweet reflects on PlayStation Productions’ current triumphs as well as planned projects. The Last of Us was mentioned in the post, as was Gran Turismo, which was confirmed to have a TV show in May 2022.
The most fun feature, though, was not in the video clip Qizilbash provided. But in his tweet, which included a clown and a fire emoji, most likely a reference to Twisted Metal’s famous character, Sweet Tooth.
Asad Qizilbash tweeted about the show: “PlayStation Productions this year in one elevator ride. You can’t see me, but my head is on fire too.”
Asad Qizilbash also released a short video to Twitter showing elevator doors covered with Gran Turismo artwork opening to reveal artwork from The Last of Us on a wall. Qizilbash followed the video with a quote from an elevator ride summarising PlayStation Productions’ year. Following that, Qizilbash teased that while we couldn’t see him in the video, his head was on fire, and he added clown.
PlayStation Productions is Sony’s arm that works with translating the company’s video game brands into films and television shows, rather than game creation.
Peacock has yet to respond with their own tweet promoting the upcoming release “Twisted Metal,” which will feature Neve Campbell, Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, Thomas Haden Church, Samoa Joe, and Will Arnett. The team behind Zombieland and Deadpool, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick created the original live-action series.
Twisted Metal tournament is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for John Doe. He is a smart-ass milkman with no memory of his past, to make his goal of finding community come true. If he can survive the vicious vehicle battle.

The upcoming TV series premieres ahead of a planned Twisted Metal video game relaunch, which we exclusively revealed last year is in the works at Sony’s Firesprite studio. According to sources, after departing from the original creator Lucid Games.
Gran Turismo movie is also directed by Neill Blomkamp and will be released on August 11th, 2023.
