Rage Against the Machine 2023 Concert and Festival Dates
According to the latest updates, Rage Against the Machine already canceled their 2022 and 2023 tour dates. But we hope they will return to the stage this year. This return probably happens this Summer or Fall of 2023 for sure.
Sadly, the last chance to watch live in the Rage Against the Machine reunion tour has passed for now. Rage Against the Machine’s reunion tour will begin on July 9th in East Troy, WI, rather than on March 31st in El Paso, TX. Only half of the 38-show tour has been postponed indefinitely. Rage Against the Machine, on the other hand, announced new dates for February, March, and April 2023.
When you asked, “Why did Rage Against the Machine cancel their current tour?”
During the North American leg’s second concert. On July 11th, 2022, in Chicago. We watched Zack de la Rocha injure his leg onstage and leave for a brief while before returning to the stage seated.
“I don’t know what happened to my leg right now,” Zack de la Rocha said of the injury night. We’re going to keep this crap going. This stage is crawlable for me. Tonight we’re going to play for you all.”

Here is also Zack De La Rocha’s press statement about canceling the 2023 tour dates so far:
“It’s been almost three months since Chicago, and I still look down at my leg in disbelief. Two years of waiting through the pandemic, hoping we would have an opening to be a band again and continue the work we started 30 some odd years ago. Rehearsing, training, reconciling, working our way back to form. Then one and a half shows into it and my tendon tears. Felt like a sick joke the universe played on me. As I write this I remind myself it’s just bad circumstance. Just a f***** up moment.
Unfortunately it is a moment that requires a lot of work and healing. I have a sever tear in my left Achilles tendon and only 8% of my tendon was left intact. And even that portion was severely compromised. It’s not simply a question of being able to perform again, but extends to basic functionality going forward. That’s why I’ve made the painful and difficult decision to cancel the remaining shows on our 2023 North American leg.
I hate cancelling shows. I hate disappointing our fans. You have all waited so patiently to see us and that is never lost on me. I never take that for granted. For you, I have the ultimate gratitude and respect.
To my brothers Tim, Brad, and Tom; to El P, Killer Mike, Trackstar, and the whole RTJ crew; to everyone on our production team: techs, cooks, drivers, assistants, security squad, to anyone and everyone who made the shows thus far possible, all my love and respect. I hope to see you very soon.”
