Scorpions Shared First Bit From Upcoming Studio Album
Scorpions band now working on their upcoming studio album. Their LP is now under mixing process. For mixing, Scorpions are working with Berlin-based Hansa Studios. They are working with engineer Michael Ilbert, who’ve won worked with Grammy-winning Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.
Founded in 1965, Scorpions are still a huge name in the industry and they keep doing what they do best. Recently, they are working on their new upcoming studio album. Now we started to get some information on their upcoming album. First of all, today Scorpions singer and guitarists checked in from the studio. Klaus Meine, Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs were at the Peppermint Park Studios where they do the recordings for their album. Klaus Meine, singer of the Scorpions shared some information with a video.
“We’re in the studio right now, as you can see Peppermint Park in Hannover and this morning, we decided to give you guys a little snippet. We’re here for a year. We spent so much time in here working with the recording sessions. And right now it’s so very exciting to finally listen to the mixes coming in from Berlin the other day. And we just wanted to share this moment with all of you out there. And believe me, we can’t wait not only to give you a little snippet but to play you the whole damn album. All right? And we’ll see you out there.”
Their upcoming album will be Scorpions’ first release since they’ve released Born To Touch Your Feelings in 2017. Actually they wanted to work with producer Greg Fidelman and do the recordings in Los Angles. Producer Greg Fidelman is known for his work with Slipknot and Metallica. But due to Covid-19, they decided to abort that plan. As Meine stated before they wanted Greg Fidelman for a vibe which they have in their previous albums such as “Blackout” and “Love At First Sting”. They wanted to catch that old vibe, that feeling. As Meine said, “Who knows”.
This upcoming LP does not have any writers from outside. Their 2015 Return To Forever did have a couple of co-writers but for this LP they decided to keep things in-house.
Currently, there isn’t any information on the release date for this upcoming album. Considering they are still doing the records/mix Scorpions fans need to wait a little bit longer. But after all, if they manage to get that old feeling, that vibe that they were talking about, this will worth the waiting.
