Slash says which is favorite guitar of all time
Slash has announced his favorite guitar in his collection. Also, Slash said, his favorite guitar has remained the same since 1987.
Who is Slash?
Saul Hudson, better known as Slash, was born in 1965. He gained popularity with the hard rock band Guns N’ Roses. After his popularity, Slash has been playing guitars since his childhood. Also, He considered the greatest guitarist in history. Because of the success which brings with the guitar, He is known for falling in love with guitars. His collection includes more than 400 guitars.
He started playing bass first. After he hears his teacher play songs like “Brown Sugar” by the Rolling Stones. He wanted to play one-acoustic guitar. He started his career with one string guitar which he found in the closet. Then he adds strings to it. After That, he got a cheap $150 Gibson Les Paul. With those guitars, he collected thousands of guitars.
Slash’s Favorite Guitar
When he reported to Metro, he told that his guitar collection is “a little bit in excess of 400.” Then Reporter asked him his favorite guitar. He said, “the go-to guitar for me when I’m recording is the same one I’ve been using since 1987, which is a replica of a 1959 Gibson Les Paul, handmade by the late, great guitar builder, Kris Derrig. I recorded Appetite for Destruction with it and I’ve done pretty much every record with it since. It has a unique tone and personality to it.”
The legendary Guns N’ Roses Album Appetite for Destruction was released in July 1987 in the United States. With this album, Guns N’ Roses created wawes among hard rockers. That’s why this album became the best-selling debut album of all time. Besides bringing popularity to the band, the album helped Slash to get write his name among the greatest guitarist of All Time. Slash ranked as number 65 on Rolling Stone‘s list of “The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.”
When I saw Slash‘s favorite guitar, I cannot believe my eyes. It was under my expectation. People always expect rock band players using new and shiny guitars. However, this was not the case for Slash. He has decided to use his 1959 Gibson Les Paul Replica. He has used this guitar as a new shiny guitar.
