While there is almost no time left for Slash, Myles Kennedy, and The Conspirators’ upcoming album to arrive, the regarded musicians released a new song from their album, titled ‘Call Off The Dogs.’
After releasing the official music video for their LP’s first single, The River Is Rising, in October, Slash and Myles Kennedy, and The Conspirators have been preparing to release their upcoming album, titled 4, without stop. So, while all the fans around the world have been waiting eagerly for their upcoming album, which is about to go released in less than a month, they gifted their fans at the last minute issuing the third single from the album, Call Off the Dogs.
The upcoming album ‘4’ of Slash Ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators will be released on February 11 via Gibson Records in partnership with BMG, writing its name to the music history as the first-ever album to be released on the label. And the album will also be the fifth solo album and fourth overall of Slash, featuring Myles Kennedy on vocals, Frank Sidoris on guitar and vocals, Todd Kerns on bass and vocals, and Brent Fitz on drums.
On the other side, the song has already affected everyone with its moody rhythms and screaming riffs that are also familiar to the fans, while Myles Kennedy also contributes to the song with an invigorating singing that makes everyone get more even eager to see them live on stages as they will be hitting the roads for a North America tour, soon. Here are also the lyrics of their new song, Call Off the Dogs, as you can also stream it down below.
“She’s on the hunt again
It won’t be long
She always pulls me in
To the place I don’t belongOn my trail
On my mind
Pulls my chain
Every timeCall off the dogs
I’ll run no more
I can’t hold on
My heart is yours
Call off the dogs
Call off the dogsShe’s coming from behind
She’s never far
She brings the dead to life
With her voodoo woman charmIt never fails
She’ll cross the line
The nightingale
Sings tonightCall off the dogs
I’ll run no more
I can’t hold on
My heart is yours
Call off the dogsYou’re on my trail
You’re on my mind
Pull on my chain
One more time
I’m easy prey
I’m too weak to fight
My nightingale
Take me tonightCall off the dogs
I’ll run no more
I can’t hold on
My heart is yours
Call off the dogs
Call off the dogs
Call off the dogs
Call off the dogs”
Earlier, the regarded guitarist of Guns N’ Roses Slash has also shared the story of how ‘Fill My World‘ was written and said:
“Musically, I came up with it at my studio. It was just the opening riff, and then the underlying chord changes started to come out in my mind. I wasn’t sure if I was going to pursue it or not, but I had to record it and make a demo. I thought I don’t know what the guys are going to think… Because it has a certain sentimental kind of feel to it. But I sent it to Myles, and he came back with these heartfelt lyrics. I thought it was about the loss we’ve all been suffering during this dark period, and then he told me it was about his dog. I said, ‘Well, you know, everybody has had somebody that they love affected by this, so…’”
And while Slash and the band have been working hard to promote their upcoming album, 4, they traveled across the country together to record their new album at RCA Studio A with producer Dave Cobb, who also revealed that the band wanted to share the tracks live for the amazing sound and style they captured live in the studio while recording.
Ultimately, the upcoming album of Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, 4, has written its name to the music history as the first-ever album to be released on the new Gibson Records label. And just before their new album release, Slash, Myles Kennedy, and The Conspirators will kick off their North America tour on February 8 at Portland, Oregon, as they will be wandering 28 major cities, including Los Angeles, New York, Boston, and more, and wrap off their tour on March 26 at Orlando, Florida.
