Slipknot Fans React to “The End, So Far” Album
Slipknot fans react to “The End, So Far” album, which it’s just released today. Slipknot’s seventh official studio album is out today via Roadrunner Records. See how fans also react to this new and latest Slipknot band album.
This new album also follows the 2019 “We Are Not Your Kind” album. However, this pointed to the departure of percussionist Chris Fehn, who was replaced by Michael Pfaff.
Not since Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses) have we only had to wait three years or fewer for a new album from “The Nine” to arrive. This means that a fair amount of Maggots weren’t even born yet. So here we have it, the successor to 2019’s We Are Not Your Kind, which was led by three singles like “The Chapeltown Rag,” “The Dying Song (Time to Sing)” and “Yen.”

Slipknot fans have responded quickly and passionately to the album, which the band’s frontman Corey Taylor refers to be “the end of one moment,” on social media.
Corey Taylor also talked about the Slipknot “The End, So Far” album:
“I could get away from the shit that I’ve needed to say and get back to the stuff that I want to say. He also shared the meaning behind ‘The Dying Song’ during the interview, saying that For the last few years it’s been very trendy to be offended and outraged by everything, and yet nothing happens.
Especially in my country, which is just fucking ridiculous. It’s almost like the tables have turned, and the more angry people get, the more the people who they’re mad at just double-down on the shit.
Instead of there being cause and effect, or crime and punishment, now it’s just like, ‘Fuck you, we don’t care.’ I can’t tell if that’s a reaction because of the almost nihilistic isolation of the cultures themselves, where neither side is acknowledging any of the good parts of each other. They’re just really honed in on the shit that they consider inflammatory.”
Fans also worried that this explanation meant that Slipknot would call it quits and that this might be their last album. At a European concert in July, Taylor put an end to these speculations, telling the “doomsday motherfuckers” who believe that Slipknot would split up that this is not the truth. The phrase “end” appears to relate to their big label recording contract, the last album under which they are now bound.

Some fans say: “The album is not bad. Definitely experimental and different. Surprisingly I do enjoy the first track, Adderall.”

“What do we all think of the new slipknot album ? It’s a mix for me, I understand that it is going for the experimental sound. While some do, some songs just don’t work for me which is quite disappointing. I’m sure some songs will grown on me. #Slipknot #TheEndSoFar #maggot”

The End so Far is a rollercoaster of disappointment. Every good songs energy is fucked up except for Adderall, H377 & Acidic. And Adderall and Acidic are so different from #Slipknot that they wont fit in my favorites playlist.
It is the end of 22 years of fandom.#TheEndSoFar— VDMK28. (@VDMK28) September 30, 2022
I love Slipknot with all my heart, but I don’t know what to do with myself with Adderall. I was ready to mosh in my car, but I just waited with anxiety… my confusion is unparalleled 😂

Pretty sure the same people would have complained if every album they released sounded the same as Iowa or ST, it's a lose/lose situation unfortunately 😕

People crying about @slipknot new album – No it's not like vol3 or older insane killer heavy banging stuff. But it is really masterpiece. I just simply love it. A really beautiful ensemble that evokes strong emotions. #slipknot #TheEndSoFar
