Slipknot Statement About Joey Jordison – Our Hearts Go Out To Joey’s Family
If you haven’t heard the sad news about Joey Jordison, first you can visit our article about it. We lost him a couple of days ago at 46 and ever since his death.
We’ve heard a lot of statements/comments from the music world. Some of them were from his old bandmates, and some of them were from friends and family. Today, another statement about Joey Jordison’s death got published. It came from Slipknot. Slipknot members also posted personal tweets and comments about Jordison’s death but this time they’ve created something band. Earlier today, Slipknot posted a video tribute for Joey Jordison which is eight-and-a-half minutes long.
That video was featuring behind the scene footage and old videos from Joey Jordison’s time in the Slipknot. They started the video with the words “Our hearts go out to Joey‘s family and loved ones at this time of tremendous loss.”
We love you Joey
“Joey Jordison‘s art, talent, and spirit could not be contained or be held back. Joey‘s impact on SLIPKNOT, on our lives, and on the music that he loved, is incalculable. Without him there would be no us. We mourn his loss with the entire SLIPKNOT family. We love you, Joey.”
As we’ve mentioned in our previous article, Jordison and Slipknot parted ways in 2013 but they haven’t talked about the reason behind it. The only thing Joey Jordison was saying about that case was that he didn’t “Quit” the band. One year later, in 2014 Slipknot’s Corey Taylor talked about firing Joey Jordison from Slipknot and said it was “one of the hardest decisions” that they’ve made as a band. When asked about Jordison, Taylor said “he is in a place in his life which not where we are”.
Corey Taylor said he couldn’t give more information about the case because of legal reasons. But he said some words about the case which you can read below.
“It’s when a relationship hits that T-section and one person’s going one way and you’re going the other. And try as you might to either get them to go your way or try and go their way, at some point you’ve got to go in the direction that works for you. This is me speaking in the broadest terms, with respect to Joey. I guess to sum it up, it was one of the hardest decisions we ever made.”
Our hearts go to Joey Jordison‘s friends and family.
