End of the Road: The Final Concert was scheduled for July 17, 2021, but pandemic caused delays, so Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Eric Singer, and Tommy Thayer had to move some of their tour dates.
KISS band also shared a statement for their pay-per-view concert:
“KISS was born in New York City. On 23rd Street. Half a century ago. It will be a privilege and honor to finish touring at Madison Square Garden, 10 blocks and 50 years from where we first started. All that we have built and all that we have conquered over the past four decades could never have happened without the millions of people worldwide who’ve filled clubs, arenas and stadiums over those years.
This will be the ultimate celebration for those who’ve seen us and a last chance for those who haven’t. KISS Army, we’re saying goodbye on our final tour with our biggest show yet and we’ll go out the same way we came in – unapologetic and unstoppable.”
Is this the final tour for KISS?
Yes, but here is Paul Stanley‘s answer to this question and KISS‘s final tour in 2022 and 2023:
“KISS is like an army or a sports team. When the MVP is no longer playing or retired, the team doesn’t call it quits. On a battlefield, an army, when they lose soldiers, doesn’t wave the white flag. Somebody else picks up the weapon and runs forward. So in one form or another, I believe there will always be a KISS.
We’re [KISS] in our 70s; hard to believe. But for us, it’s just reached a point where we realize we can’t do this indefinitely,” he said. “We’re really at the top of our game still. And now’s the time to do a victory lap and go out there with our heads held high and say thank you to everybody and do a show that really encapsulates and really pays tribute not only to us but to the fans.”
