While the pandemic restrictions easing up all around the world, we started to see bands and musicians starting their tours this summer. We’ve already got some dates from various bands such as Slipknot, Guns N’ Roses, and Metallica. Today, one of the most important names on the metal music stage also shared his tour dates. Slipknot singer Corey Taylor is going to be on tour this summer for his solo album CMFT.
Just like Slipknot’s percussionist Clown, singer Corey Taylor was also working on his solo projects for a while. He released his debut album CMFT last fall. This 5 songs long album got positive feedback from fans and now, Corey Taylor is preparing to perform this album on tour. And he will not be alone on this tour. The Cherry Bombs is going to be with Corey Taylor to support him during the tour.
For the upcoming events in this CMFT tour, Corey Taylor is going to use a similar on-stage action as his former live events. He’s going to perform a mix of favorite songs from the CMFT solo album, besides that he is going to play some of his favorite songs throughout his whole career in Stone Sour and Slipknot. Fans can also expect some covers and special performances during the tour.

As we have talked about in the beginning, another Slipknot member, percussionist Clown -Shawn Crahan- is also working on some solo projects. He’s been very active on YouTube and released a couple of songs, which have a very different sound from the classic Slipknot songs.
Just like Clown, Corey Taylor‘s songs are also a little different from what we are used to from Slipknot. It’s good to see successful musicians working on different songs.
