James Hetfield Costumed Up as Stranger Things Character for Halloween

James Hetfield costumed up as a Stranger Things character for the Halloween special. He showed like Eddie Munson, a long-haired, leather-clad character.
We also know him from Stranger Things who played an instrumental rendition. The band’s 1986 song “Master Of Puppets” is in season four of Stranger Things. This is also the finale’s main sequence. The character, played by Joseph Quinn, became an instant fan favorite after his arrival in season four of the Netflix series. And James Hetfield was one of many people who wore it on October 31 night.
Metallica‘s official Instagram page featured James Hetfield‘s special Halloween costume, along with the message, “Eddie Munson says Happy Halloween!”

About this collaboration Metallica shared the statement:
“We are excited to add one more night to the tour calendar this year with a special show at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, on Sunday, November 6, 2022. This night will be extra-special as we’ll be celebrating the life, legacy, and achievements of Jonny and Marsha Zazula. Jonny gave us our first break in New York, released our first albums on his Megaforce Records label. And put us out on the road for our first real tour. With Marsha by his side, Jonny was a mentor, a manager, a label head, and a father figure to us all…
We would not be where we are today without the two of them. Sadly, we recently lost both Jonny and Marsha, just a little more than a year apart. We will be cooking up a special setlist for you full of songs from our days with Jonny and Marsha at Megaforce. Our main touring partner from that time, Raven, will be joining us to add to the celebration and bring back the memories.
Tickets for the 7,000-seat theater show will be starting at 10 AM, EDT on Friday, September 30. If you’re a Fifth Member, you’ll have early access beginning Wednesday, September 28. A portion of the proceeds from this show will be donated in Jonny and Marsha’s name to MusiCares. A safety net supporting the health and welfare of the music community offering preventive, emergency, and recovery programs to musicians and industry professionals. Additionally, All Within My Hands will once again be supporting Feeding South Florida with a donation following the show. Head out to Hard Rock Live and celebrate two heavy metal pioneers and champions with us!”
Metallica‘s popularity increased again after season four of Stranger Things aired on Netflix. Because of a dramatic moment in which Eddie Munson performs a rendition of “Master of Puppets.” The song reached the top 40 in both the United States and the United Kingdom for the first time.
After performing the song on one of James Hetfield’s own guitars. And, the lead guitarist Kirk Hammett joked to Quinn, “You’re employed,” before drummer Lars Ulrich addressed the camera to announce that “Metallica is now a five-piece.”
Metallica shared a statement about the Stranger Things series:
“The way the Duffer brothers have incorporated music into Stranger Things has always been next level. But to have such a pivotal scene built around it… we were all stoked to see the final result. And when we did, we were totally blown away.”
About the Master of Puppets:
“Master of Puppets” was originally released on March 3, 1986, and now, 36 years later, the song reentered the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This is like the chart-topping resurgence of Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill,” after that song was also heavily featured in Season 4 of the series.
