Keanu Reeves‘s rock band Dogstar announces 2023 tour dates. Dogstar the band from 1990s and early 2000s grunge band, will release their debut album, “Somewhere Between The Power Lines And Palm Trees,” on October 6th, 2023.
Everything we know about Keanu Reeves’s Rock Band Dogstar 2023 Tour Dates
Dogstar is a Los Angeles, California-based alternative rock band. They were active from the mid-1990s through the early 2000s, achieving middling success but gaining media engagement thanks to the band’s bassist, Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves.
The band resurrected in May 2023 for a performance at the BottleRock Napa Valley music festival, and plans for a new record were revealed.
Dogstar began with an accidental meeting in a supermarket in 1991 between Robert Mailhouse and Keanu Reeves. Mailhouse was wearing a Detroit Red Wings hockey sweater when Reeves (an enthusiastic hockey fan and player) inquired if he needed a goaltender. As the two guys became friends, they began playing together, and in 1992, Gregg Miller was added as the original lead guitarist and singer.
According to Keanu Reeves, one event led to another in the Dogstar’s history:
“You know, we started in a garage, and then you end up starting to write songs, and then you’re like “Let’s go out and play them!”, and then you’re like “Let’s go on tour!”, and then…you’re playing”
The band has also just inked a management contract with Q Prime. And here is the statement by Dogstar:
“We couldn’t think of a better song to re-introduce Dogstar than ‘Everything Turns Around’ and hope everyone loves it as much as we do. It’s catchy and poppy has a chorus that rocks, a bridge with an indie sensibility, and is completed with lyrics that tell an honest yet uplifting story. It’s one of our favorite songs to play live, and we can’t wait to take it out on the road.”
Here is the song list of the “Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees” album:

- Blonde
- How The Story Ends
- Everything Turns Around
- Overhang
- Dillon St.
- Lily
- Lust
- Glimmer
- Sunrise
- Sleep
- Upside
- Breach

In an interview with GQ, Keanu Reeves shared how Dogstar booked with Agnostic Front, Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, and Deicide at the 1992 Milwaukee Metal Fest:
“We played Milwaukee Metal Fest. Got killed. I think we played close to MURPHY’S LAW. Imagine. So we played a GRATEFUL DEAD cover, at Milwaukee Metal Fest. We were, like, ‘They hate us. What are we doing here? What can we do? Let’s do THE GRATEFUL DEAD cover…They were just like, F*** you, you s***. I had the biggest grin on my face, man.”
