Maynard James Keenan Reveals the Best Introduction Song For Tool
Being widely regarded for its unique style, Tool has been growing its fan base since the very first day with its innovative interpretation of heavy metal. Formed in 1990, the current lineup of Tool consists of Maynard James Keenan as its lead singer, Adam Jones as its guitarist, Danny Carey as its drummer, and Justin Chancellor as its bassist. During its huge career, Tool has gathered massive regard all around the world, as it also crowned its success by winning 4 Grammy Awards, as well.
And as the regarded band went on tours all around the world, and topping in charts in several countries with its tasty albums, showing off their music’s power and effect on people, Maynard James Keenan, the lead singer of Tool, has recently appeared in an interview, where he talked about their effective songs, along with pointing out the introduction song to entry the regarded band’s world for the people unfamiliar them, yet.
The talented singer, Maynard James Keenan starts sharing his opinion, by revealing his choice as the song named The Pot from the 2006 album of Tool, titled 10,000 Days, saying;
“To me, that’s one of the examples of some of our earlier energy blending perfectly with our more mature energy and kind of nods to our influences over the year. I feel like we really kind of struggle to make sure that all four of us shine as best we can on everything we do, to exhaustion.
But I feel like this one is one of the ones that felt, not effortless, but fresh and conscious consciously effortless if that makes sense? It just captures that vibe that I think, if you’re gonna play a song for people to kind of get them into our band, I don’t think you should start with the 27-minute one. Calm down. Don’t get all QAnon on us,” shares Maynard James Keenan his opinion, adding focusing on that album would be a good introduction to the new people who have just started to listen to Tool.
“Focus on ‘The Pot,’ that will be the introduction to all the other possibilities that happen in this project.”
