Pantera 2022 Tour Dates
These upcoming three events will be held during Knotfest Colombia, Knotfest Chile, and Knotfest Brasil in December. Pantera and other headlining act Slipknot, Judas Priest and Bring Me the Horizon headline the three shows. This is also the first reunion tour after a few later from Pantera members.
- Knotfest Colombia – December 9 at the Estadio Nemesio Camacho El Campion in Bogotá
- Knotfest Chile – December 11 at the Estadio Monumental in Santiago
- Knotfest Brasil on December 18 at the Sambódromo do Anhembi in São Paolo
- Hell & Heaven Metal Fest – December 2 at the Foro Pegaso in Otzacatipan, Mexico
Pantera drummer Charlie Benante interviewed SiriusXM’s “Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk” podcast program. He revealed some insights on how they approach and will be ready for the Pantera concerts:
“I can’t go do this as the drummer from Anthrax because it would be a different sound completely. So the way I’m gonna do that is if you close your eyes, it’s gonna sound like it’s Vinnie, basically. And that’s how it’s gonna be. The sound is gonna sound exactly like him.”

Zakk Wylde also added:
“You approach it the same way as you do when I’m playing with Ozzy Osbourne. Obviously I’ve gotta learn Randy Rhoads’s stuff and I’ve gotta learn Jake’s stuff, and when I was doing the Black Sabbath stuff, you learn it and do it as faithful as you can. Charlie’s gotta learn all of Vinnie’s parts. You approach it as if you’re in a cover band. When we do the Zakk Sabbath stuff. I don’t start changing lyrics midway through ‘War Pigs’. You learn the songs – so that’s what you do.”
Discussion of an upcoming Pantera “reunion” increased after Anselmo frequently joined Wylde’s BLACK LACSEL SOCIETY to play Pantera’s song “I’m Broken” during Down’s 2014 appearance as part of “Revolver Golden Gods Tour” “Revolver Golden Gods Tour”. The buzz only grew following the time that Brown joined the group on the 23rd of May in 2014, as the tour took place in Texas.
From the time he passed away, Vinnie remained in non-speaking agreement with Paul Anselmo who was indirectly blamed by the drummer for Dimebag Darrell’s death.
Vinnie Paul and Dimebag co-founded members of Pantera. After Pantera was disbanded in 2003, the duo came together to form Damageplan. On the 8th of December in 2004, during a performance in concert with Damageplan in the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio, Dimebag Darrell was killed and shot by a schizophrenic with a problem who believed that Pantera members Pantera were taking his thoughts.
The band members also confirmed they are going on to world tour too.
In July 2022, we also learned that Pantera members Philip Anselmo (vocals) and Rex Brown (bass) will join forces with guitar player Zakk Wylde and drummer Charlie Benante for an all-world concert with the Pantera poster. Phil Anselmo and Brown together with Wylde and Benante are scheduled to headline many major events across North America and Europe and present their own headline shows.
