Avenged Sevenfold New Album is Almost Done and Ready to Out
Avenged Sevenfold for their upcoming album follow-up to 2016’s The Stage, the band and its members just heralded that the album is “90 percent” done with the record along with hinting it’s unlike anything they’ve released in the past.
Many of us already know that Avenged Sevenfold has been working on their upcoming album, which is now super close than ever after spending far too much time in production limbo due to numerous pandemic-related setbacks, the regarded metal band’s members have shared the news with their fans through their social media accounts. On February 9, Avenged Sevenfold lead vocalist M. Shadows and drummer Brooks Wackerman shared photos from one of the album’s final sessions the day prior, as they recorded a large orchestra, along with revealing they’re “90 percent” done with the record and the upcoming album is unlike anything they’ve released in the past.
You can also see the images shortly after, down below.
Attached to his post, Brooks Wackerman wrote:
“Well, this happened on Tuesday. We, Avenged Sevenfold, started writing this record four years ago, and I can’t believe we are 90% done.
One of the perks in the creative process is that we are able to track a 78-piece orchestra on our records. The fact that we are able to bring incredible musicians together to enhance our art still gives me chills. I can’t wait for the world to hear this. All I can say is it’s unlike anything we’ve ever released.”

In the meantime, also M. Shadows shared more photos from the studio, saying “Twas worth the wait,” as he also revealed earlier that Avenged Sevenfold has chosen a whole different inspiration for their upcoming album this time. Even though the regarded metal band is best known for the diverse rock sounds that they used on their albums, it was already revealed that the album would be much more different from the band’s usual, considering their influences included Kanye West this time, besides the band is also known to be influenced by the famous names of rock and roll and heavy metal community, such as Metallica, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, and more. But the photos they shared also revealed there is much more going on than Kanye West, considering the huge orchestra in the middle of the studio, making all fans even more excited but also wonder for what’s ahead.
While it has been several years since Avenged Sevenfold released the album, the band also seems that they will be keeping their promise as they estimated the effort would be ready by summer 2022 last year. On the other hand, the band also said earlier they decided not to release any music early on in the pandemic, which also they kept.
Back in January, M. Shadow also appeared in an interview revealing the recordings are almost done seemingly next month, along with their upcoming album’s influencer. While explaining, Avenged Sevenfold lead singer has also given fresh new details about their anticipated albums as he also revealed the band was influenced by the popular musician, Kanye West, while working on their album. So, as he said, we are also sure that the upcoming Avenged Sevenfold album will be unlike anything they have done so far, hopefully.
