Guns N’ Roses, Metallica and More Artists To Join Hellfest 2022
Hellfest is coming back in 2022. And with the recent announcements, this is going to be a huge festival. Let’s take a look into what we can wait from Hellfest 2022.
While Covid-19 restrictions are slowly easing, governments from all around the world started to approve festivals and concerts to held. We even started to see some of those festivals to got announced. German festival organizers first announced the date for Wacken Open Air 2022 and the same organizers then announced a new mini heavy metal festival to be held this year. Fans in the United States are a bit luckier and they are getting some more huge festivals this year. Knotfest is going to take place this September in Iowa.
Speaking of European festivals, French fans are getting a festival in 2022. Hellfest is coming back after the 2 years gap and it is going to be “lit”. They’ve announced more than 350 bands and musicians joining Hellfest 2022. Some of those bands are Guns N’ Roses, Scorpions, Deftones, Metallica, Faith No More, Avenged Sevenfold, and Nine Inch Nails.
Earlier today, the founder of the Hellfest, Ben Barbaud, and his crew announced the lineup.
“It’s been more than 16 months since our work rhythm was turned upside down by the arrival of this virus, since the live music industry was extinguished. Despite this, our confidence has never been affected and we have kept working with a positive mindset.
Starting In June 2022
They continued their words by telling how they changed the format and giving some more information on the 2022 Hellfest.
“The frustration of two years without a festival has led us to dream even bigger about our reunion! In 2022, we are offering a new and unique format spread over 10 days! Never done before, this formula will, without a doubt, remain in the history of so-called ‘extreme’ music! Twice as historic, because this formula is meant to exist only in 2022 and will not happen again in the years to come.
“After a first weekend from 17 to 19th June 2022, we double the fun with an additional weekend from 23rd to 26th June! A real marathon that will see no less than 350 artists on 6 stages! As usual, the festival does not deviate from its principles: you will see artists capable of performing in stadiums, with artists who are usually playing in smaller venues, and for some even in pub caves. Punk, heavy, black, hardcore, death, stoner, pagan, power, we have done our best to put together what we believe to be the ‘edition of the century.”
So now, we have the date, bands, and details of the upcoming Hellfest 2022. All we need to do is to wait until the kick-in day.
