Judas Priest First Details from ’50 Heavy Metal Years’ Tour
Judas Priest started the “50 Heavy Metal Years” tour last Friday, 2022. They just performed their first show at the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, USA.
Judas Priest is a heavy metal band formed in England in 1969. Since then, they have sold over 50 million albums. This album sale is an impressive success for a metal band. With this success, they regard as among the richest metal band. Besides this success, the band won several awards. The most important awards like Best Metal Performance Grammy Award, Kerrang! Inspiration award, and Kerrang! Hall of Fame Award.
Fans expected to attend this ‘50 Heavy Metal Years‘ tour earlier than 4 March. But, because of Richie Faulkner‘s health problems, Judas Priest needed to re-schedule this tour. Last year Richie Faulkner suffered an acute cardiac aortic dissection at the Louder Than Life festival. After Richie Faulkner encountered health problems at the show, Richie Faulkner’s doctor needed to perform health-saving surgery. As a result of this surgery, Richie Faulkner needed to long recovery time.
After Richie Faulkner recovered, the band was ready to hit the road again this year. However, the band could not find a support band. That’s why they needed to re-schedule their tour again until finding a support band. Luckily, they found Queensryche as a support band.
Queensryche is a heavy metal band formed in 1980. During their career, they have made 15 studio albums. Despite their hard work, they can not be popular as today’s metal bands. That’s why we constantly see them as a support band.
The ’50 Metal Years’ will continue until next month. The last concert will perform on 13 April in Hamilton, Ontario. After the ’50 Metal Years‘ tour, the band planned to attend some major festivals in Europe. If you are a Judas Priest fan from the EU, you need to keep your eye on the announcements. You might not find a chance to attend Judas Priest concerts in feature.
