Ozzy Osbourne Now Releases His First NFT Collection ‘Cryptobatz’

While the whole world has been agitated by the new trend of NFT collections, Ozzy Osbourne has now also joined among the artists that have been releasing their own NFT’s, announcing his first collection, ‘Cryptobatz.’
Nodding to his infamous bat-biting incident, which was about Ozzy biting the head off a live bat during a concert back on January 20, 1982, Ozzy Osbourne now also releases his own NFT as his first foray into the crypto industry. With the launch of his Cryptobatz, the talented frontman’s collection seemingly consists of 9,666 non-fungible tokens.
Ozzy Osbourne explained that he made his decision for launching his own NFT after his wife and manager, Sharon Osbourne, talked him out of buying a Bored Ape, in an earlier conversation of his.
“I’ve been trying to get in on the NFT action for a while so when I asked Sharon for a Bored Ape for Christmas after several failed attempts of buying my own, and she said no, I decided to create my own. Cryptobatz is a fucking mental project for NFT collectors and fans. The design pays tribute to one of my most iconic onstage moments and is a chance to acquire a rare piece of art history. I love it!” said Ozzy Osbourne earlier.
As described, the owners of Ozzy Osbourne‘s NFT Cryptobatz will be able to create new NFTs called “MutantBatz” by “mutating” Cryptobatz with other collections, as well.
In addition, NFTs are a special type of cryptographic token representing something unique in return. And because of their uniqueness, they are not mutually interchangeable, although it is possible to mint any number of NFTs representing the same object as well. And this actually shows the opposite of cryptocurrencies like bitcoin, and many networks or utility tokens, which are fungible in nature. So we can say that non-fungible tokens are creating a new side of crypto adoption.
Ultimately, promoting their latest and final album, Ozzy Osbourne’s regarded band Black Sabbath went on a farewell tour, called The End Tour, after their final album was released on 20 January 2016. The End Tour was the regarded heavy metal band’s final concert tour, as it featured Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, and Geezer Butler. In addition, also Tommy Clufetos played drums, replacing the band’s original drummer, Bill Ward, along with keyboardist and guitarist Adam Wakeman.
So, while the whole members of regarded band Black Sabbath have gone their ways parted, its talented and beloved guitarist Tony Iommi talked about the end of Black Sabbath, along with whether it is really the end for them or not. As the talented musician Tony Iommi has also been promoting a new song along with perfume, both titled Scent of Dark, he also talked about his former bandmate Ozzy Osbourne during an earlier interview of his, recalling how they first considered Ozzy Osbourne, as the talented vocalist now releases his own NFT collection, in addition to his hugely successful music career after Black Sabbath.
Outside of his tenure with Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne also launched a hugely successful solo career releasing 12 studio albums, and reach success around the world. He also worked with other famous names as well. On the other hand, Osbourne has been working on a new album after he released his latest album named Ordinary Man, in 2020.
