The regarded bands have announced some of their US headline show dates for 2022 finally that are set to play four huge shows together to meet their fan backs on stages, early next year.
While the fans have been waiting eagerly for the shows, which have been affected by the pandemic, to be announced since the LA gigs have been postponed due to the pandemic three times. The original plans were sechudeled as System of A Down and Korn to perform together in last year May, but they couldn’t manage to get on the stage so far, due to the obvious reasons. But especially the last the LA gigs that supposed to happen recently was canceled when the frontman of System of A Down, Serj Tankian tested positive for COVID on the day the first show was set to take place.
But after all that unluck, System of A Down and Korn has finally announced their long-awaited dates, as they will be performing in the U.S in January and February. In addition, they also added Phoenix and San Diego together with support from Helmet and Russian Circles, to their schedule, which also includes the already announced two massive nights at the Banc Of California Stadium in Los Angeles.
The LA shows at LA’s Banc Of California stadium, which are also going to be supported by Helmet and Russian Circles, will now take place on February 4 and 5, 2022, while the bands will also be playing Phoenix at the Footprint Center on January 31 before heading to San Diego the following night on February 1, for a gig at the Viejas Arena.
In the meantime, it is still unknown whether Korn’s Fieldy will be back from his hiatus from the band for these dates or not. But the talented frontman of Korn mentioned about him during one of his recent conversations and said:
“I love him; he’s my brother. But I watched somebody I care about die and I’m not going to fucking do that again. I refuse to. I will feel guilt for the rest of my fucking life because of that. I tried my hardest but perhaps if I’d been a little bit tougher there’d have been a different outcome. I pray that he can figure it out and get better and come back and be a huge part of this band again.”
On the other side, Korn has also been preparing to release and promote their new studio album, which is set to release on February 4, 2022, as the pioneer nu-metal band will also hit the road right after, for their first extended touring of the upcoming year, as well.
