Wacken Open Air Announces First Bands For 2022
A couple of days ago Wacken Open Air released a sad announcement for festival lovers. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Wacken Open Air is not going to take place this year. This is going to be 2nd back to back year of no Wacken Open Air. But after revealing some bad news, the Wacken Open Air crew also shared some good news for fans expecting to be at the festival. They’ve confirmed the 2022 Wacken Open Air a couple of days ago. Now after a few days later official announcements, there is some more news about Wacken Open Air 2022. This time, they’ve announced some bands that will be on stage for Wacken Air 2022. Co-founder of the organization, Thoman Jensen talked about that announcement and said these words:
“Another year without Wacken Open Air. It’s sad, but we won’t let it get us down. We are already looking forward to 2022, so it is great to be able to announce some highlights on the lineup today! Of course this isn’t all — we still have some great surprises in store for our fans!”
Germany will be missing their heavy metal festival for 2nd year in a row. After the sad news, organizers announced that tickets can be rebooked for next year. This isn’t the only happy announcement about next year’s Wacken Open Air. 18 bands that will be on stage for 2022 are now announced by organizers.
