Corey Taylor’s announced his favorite Metallica song
With this question, Corey remembered his childhood memories. Corey Taylor’s favorite track is “Disposable Heroes,” from the Master of Puppets album. He gave this answer without hesitation. This answer inspired the fans.
Corey Taylor says, “That song… you guys have got to remember, when that album came out, I was young and I walked to buy the tape at the local Sam Goodie, which, for some of you is a fucking record store and a longer story than I want to get into,” Corey Taylor added, “So I walked to the local mall to buy the tape at Sam Goodie. I had my fucking Walkman with me and I listened to it all the way… Side One is a fucking clinic — such a clinic. Classic. So rad.”
Without a doubt, If you are listening to the sequence of “Battery,” “Master of Puppets,” “The Thing That Should Not Be,” and “Welcome Home(Sanitarium)“, you will be amazed like Corey Taylor. However, the second half of the disk must catch Corey Taylor‘s ear. This situation can make him a Metallica fan.

Corey Taylor continued, “I flipped the tape and that first song is fucking ‘Disposable Heroes, and all of a sudden I just had my head ripped off,” Corey Taylor added, “I was just like, ‘This is the greatest fucking song.’ That riff is so stupid rad. I can’t even fucking explain it. The song just kept building and building and building… yeah, to this day it’s my favorite fucking Metallica song. It’s so rad.”
Because of the being deep cut, hearing “Disposable Heroes” as a live performance is difficult. Because the band has played “Disposable Heroes” 160 times live since they released the Master of Puppets album. Metallica had played 73 of those instances across 1993 and 1994.
Not hearing his favorite track on the live show, this situation might disappoint Corey Taylor. However, this situation will make Slipknot happy. During the show, Corey Taylor realized Slipknot has some songs that Slipknot has not played live for a long time. He announced when they start their tour “Knotfest Roadshow,” Slipknot will play those songs.
