The Stones First Video Features Sydney Sweeney
The first single from the new album, Hackney Diamonds, is a rocking track entitled, “Angry“. The song is reminiscent of traditional stones tunes like Start Me Up and several from Steel Wheels. And it doesn’t hurt that the video features a beautiful, black leather clad Syndey Sweeney rocking out in a convertible cruising the Los Angeles streets.
At a press event in London earlier this month, the band members shared their satisfaction with the new album, relating they wouldn’t release an album in which they did not believe. They also spoke about the emotional experience of recording without Charlie Watts, acknowledging his absence and the impact on them.
When asked by CBS News anchor Anthony Mason if it was emotional recording without Charlie, Mick Jagger said, “Of course it’s emotional. But you have to get past that in life, you know? I love Charlie … but I still want to carry on making music.”
